Obama is far stronger Democratic nominee
than Clinton in all head to head match-ups
with Republican candidates
the average of the five latest polls are clearly showing.

Election 2008 Presidential Primaries, Real Clear Politics
January 17, 2008

Against Guiliani:Obama has an average lead over him of +12.4%, Clinton only +5.2%.

Against Huckabee: Obama leads +12.5%, Clinton only +6.1%

Against Romney: Obama leads +19.0%, Clinton only +8.7%

At the moment the only Republican appearing to be ahead of the two frontrunner Democratic candidates is McCain.

Against McCain: Obama trails 1.8% (within the margin of error), Clinton trails more by -4.2%. However in two of the three most recent polls Obama has moved ahead of McCain and in one Clinton has (both are within the margin of error).

So while Obama handily leads and beats all Republicansby good margins, other than McCain, Clinton¹s figures are much weaker against all the Republican frontrunners.

An interesting reality check and perhaps a wake up call for Democratic Party supporters.
