On behalf of all the members of First Step Forum, I want to express our deepest condoleances on the death of our dear friend Mrs Benazir Bhutto.

During many years of co-operation we have come to understand what a great person Mrs Bhutto was. Her kindness, hospitality, political wisdom, personal friendship and courage has created an everlasting place in our hearts. She now has an everlasting place of honour in the history of Pakistan together with her late father.

Her love for the people of Pakistan made her take the risk that now has ended her brave mission for a better and more democratic Pakistan.

To honour her memory we will do everything we can to support the democratic development and to assist the people she so highly loved and respected.

We pray for her family and all of you.

May God have mercy on her soul and may her work continue to bear future fruit for the people of your great nation.
